4 Days to the Opening of the GEM!

The Grand Egyptian Museum was born from the vision of Minister Farouk Hosny during my tenure as Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities. Together, we set out to transform a dream into reality: a museum beside the pyramids that would tell the eternal story of Egypt.

I vividly remember the moment we chose the site, selected the architect through an international competition, and the unforgettable relocation of the colossal statue of Ramses II to its new home—a moment that will forever live in the hearts of all Egyptians.

The GEM is more than just a building; it is a symbol of Egypt’s pride and a bridge between our ancient heritage and our modern aspirations. In just four days, after years of dedication, this dream is about to open its doors to the world. 🇪🇬✨
